After our arrival on Thursday, the first people we heard was the new Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts and former Governor Mitt Romney.
Later in the afternoon, Minority Leader John Boehner addressed the audience.
Friday began with remarks from Herman Cain. He addressed the topic of liberal SIN: shifting the subject, ignoring the facts and name-calling.

Former Attorney General John Ashcroft received the Defender of the Constitution Award.
In the evening, our group went out and took a trip around the various sites of Washington. Here we are in front the statute of Abraham Lincoln, great American president.
As always, a highlight of CPAC is Newt Gingrich, who talked about the need for bipartisanship. Not bipartisanship where we forsake our principles but where we allow everyone to participate in governance.
The keynote speaker at CPAC was Glenn Beck. Channeling some of the best of conservative speakers, such as Ronald Reagan, Beck was insistent to remind the audience "when we put our head down on our pillow to go to sleep again that night, we can be happy because we know tomorrow it will again be morning in America."
And because we're a good Calvin group, Sunday morning we went to Holy Eucharist at the Washington National Cathedral.
